Back in the late 1980's, after we had moved to Vista (north San Diego county), my middle school son was invited to a sleepover at a schoolmates house. Before giving permission I asked to meet his parents. I was very surprised when the mom looked so familiar and after a couple questions we remembered our past history and had a very nice visit. We said we'd try to get together at a later date but I don't know what happened. I think that their family moved and then I remember hearing of her passing. In high school I remember being asked to join a group called octahadrines(or something like that??). Valeria was also invited and our initiation was roaming around 5 Points acting silly. We had fun! ??
Hi Laurene, I was in Houston for the Quilt Festival this past November, 2018. We were there for 3 days and I wish I had planned for more time as there is so much to see and do. I would also suggest staying in one of the hotels that are connected to the convention center. It makes it easier to haul your stuff back to your room and take a nap. I found Houston to be a very friendly city.

Hi, Allen and I stood next to each other in the line up for graduation. We had fun talking and joking around. He died in an auto accident just a short while after graduation.

Hi Rene, so glad to see your post on this site. My mom often talks about our years on Date St. and your family so I am eager to share your information with her. We live in San Marcos, CA. Also retired with two grown children and two wonderful grands.
